Hey Guys,

My name is Chris Searles - I'm the coordinator for Austin's "Sustainable Shopper's Ball!" and I met a couple of EV-ers this weekend at the Arbor Theater "Electric Car"event. Not only was I blown away by the "coolness factor" of the Austin EV club display, but the clarity and concision with which questions were fielded by the EV camp was inspirational. Your group made EV seem very much within reach.

Thus - I am writing to INVITE you all to our Saturday, August 19th event (9am - 1pm). "The Sustainable Shopper's Ball!" is an all-local green living market and family fun day, intended to promote sustainable lifestyle choices in the Austin area. The Austin EV Association would fit in beautifully with our mission, and the idea of increasing the demand for EV vehicles is, well - really exciting, honestly.

  About Us
We are an all-volunteer organization, dedicated to building a more ecologically sustainable future. Our formation begin with a Founders Group of local business and non-profit leaders, chosen for their place in representing the fundamentals of a sustainable economy. We've produced three events this year with incredible turnouts (over 5,000 people) and are sponsored by a variety of sustainably-oriented City, non-profit, and entrepreneurial entities. Please visit our website for more info: http://www.sustain-a-ball.org/

  About The Ball
We would love to feature you guys, help create new EV awareness and promote the AustinEV Association. I think your participation would add a very newsworthy excitement to this 4th event. In fact, I mentioned to Chris the idea of creating an "EV Village" - an area dedicated to you, Alien Scooters (already confirmed) and the national PHEV campaign (also very interested). May I send you an exhibitor packet via email? Cost per 10x10 space is $30, though in this case I think we could waive that fee if need be.

Please let me know your feelings on all of this as soon as possible and thanks so much -

  Talk with you soon,

  Sincerely,

  Chris Searles, Coordinator
