We talked about this.. I felt that people signing up for the mailing 
list would be like you. Expecting an announcement style mailing list 
containing infrequently news and information.  Normally our discussion 
list is not nearly this busy or technical, but with the influx of people 
it is experiencing a bit of a rise.

Would it be ok if we move your email address to a quieter list featuring 
only news and announcements?

How do the other new members feel about this, did you have an 
expectation that you were signing up for announcements, or a discussion 
forum?
