[ausev] Above-normal list traffic

A couple points -- first of all, like nearly all modern mailing lists,
this one is self-serve. Anyone can unsubscribe or change their options,
just go to the link that gets appended to the bottom of every message:
http://www.austinev.org/mailman/listinfo/ausev
Second, this is normally one of the lowest-traffic lists I'm on. In the
past few days we've seen an unusual storm of messages due in large part to
the significant number of signups from our last show, and we've been
caught a bit off-guard.
As has been suggested earlier, we'll change our approach in the future to
add everyone who signs up to an "announcement-only" list by default, and
allow people to explicitly request being added to the discussion list.
For a list which has up until now only presented a handful of messages per
month, it wasn't deemed a necessary distinction.
