Erik and Jefoy,
Thanks for the info.
About Erik's questions-
My needs are for about 40 miles round trip per day, 50 miles round trip
would be preferred. A two seater would be enough. My girlfriend and I
own a Prius, so getting rid of my Ford Explorer is already covered for
cargo space. I have a backup car (an old '90 Miata that I work on
every once in a while) when I need a backup (although with no air
conditioning. :-|
On most of the cars that I have read about, most seem to have not
installed an air conditioner. This is the one thing that I miss... in
our wonderful Texas heat. I can drive my Miata to bath (cook) in the
sun without AC.
I am typically an early adopter on technology... right now, just because
of time commitments (to my startup) I just don't have enough time to
work on the car myself. That being said, if there is a local Austin
startup that is looking to build/sell EV cars, I would like to talk with
you- My business partner and I are working with a handful of other
startups leveraging our network to create business for them- (both
through Bootstrap Austin and our own personal work).
Thanks. Let me know if this prompts any other ideas.
and yes, the more EVs the merrier!
Kevin
