[ausev] Solectra Direct Drives vs. Manual + Adapter

Thanks for the feedback about motor systems.  I'm leaning towards the 
Solectria system from ElectroAuto.

I have another question for the group: has anyone used the Solectria 
direct drive (http://www.electroauto.com/catalog/ackits.shtml#hdirect) 
instead of adapting to the manual transmission?  It does not seem like 
it would save any installation effort, but it would make the car easier 
to drive (no shifting) and could save some weight.  I'm interested in 
hearing about people's experiences.  I have not found anything on the 
web.

BTW: I have a buyer for my ICE.  Since I can still drive the car, he's 
offered to remove it as his friend's garage and tow the carbon-free 
shell back.  That sounds like a winner to me.
