The Walmart batteries are of uniformly low quality. OTOH, they offer
free replacement for a year. If you don't mind replacing one every few
weeks you can swap them out over and over again.

If you can handle the trip, I would strongly recommend calling the
Interstate battery store here in Austin:

Interstate Batteries of Metro Austin
5308 Burleson Road, Austin, TX 78744
(512) 447-6185

Ask for the manager, and tell him your with Austin EV. Let him know how
many you'll be buying. In the quantities needed for an EV you should
easily be able to get a 10-20% price break. You'll want to call the
store above becuase he is actually the distributor to Interstate retail
stores in southern Texas. Being one step up the chain means he can cut
you better pricing, your local Interstate store pays him about a 25% markup.
