The IRS has a fact sheet explaining tax credit for energy saving purchases.
Individuals may take tax credits in 2006 as provided in the Enegy Policy
Act of 2005.
Examples are new windows, doors, insulation, fans, and new water heaters.
The fact sheet explains the credit of up to $3400 for autos with hybrid
gas-electric engines, and the rule when this credit phases out.   For the
