Hey Hey..thanks for yous guys that dropped by, It was enjoyable. Heres a bit
from Chris in Cal...Maybe next weekend we shall be able to lift the
pack...Mark W>
Hi Mark,
You will need to take the 6 main bolts loose that hold the pack. Before
that you will want to unplug the connectors. First dissconnect the Aux
battery. Then there will be a large connector on each side of the pack near
the front. The one on the passenger side of the truck has a slide lock.
Pull the red tab, and the connector should come out. The one on the driver
side is a bit harder. You will need a 10mm socket, and some long
extensions. Some people recommend a swivel, but my extensions had enough
play in them to make it in the hole. I had 3 extensions at a total length
of about 18 inches and was able to do it. Then the connector on the back is
a bit tricky. There is a cross brace that can be removed if you take out
the 2 bolts on each side. Mine was so rusted I couldnt get it out. I was
able to pull the locking pin with needlenose pliers, then slide the lock to
the side to release the connector. If you dont take the cross brace out,
you have to be really careful, ortherwise this connector will hit the brace
when you try to remove the pack. Mine hit, and the connector came loose
from the pack. Basically it gets pushed into the pack housing. If this
does happen its not a big deal, you will just have to reglue it when you pu
the pack back together.

Hi Chris..A few of us are going to drop the pack on Sat. so I jacked up the
truck tonight with good and safe results and started to loosen a few of the
small bolts. Is it me or are some of them extremely hard to get to? What did
you discover? Mark W.
