Hello all,
I am planning on being at the Arbor with the Henney on Tuesday for the press
showing of Who Killed the Electric Car.
We will have a table with EV literature, a small AustinEV sign, a pamphlet
about AustinEV, some bumper stickers and a schedule/invitation for the
Friday and Saturday EV display at the theater.
As far as I know, the Henney might be the only vehicle at this showing. Tom
may be able to bring his GEM up.
Please, if you can make it for the 6:30 showing of the movie, please let me
know if you will be bringing your vehicle.
For Friday and Saturday we have a folding table, chairs, two canopies and a
full sized AustinEV banner. It would be good if we could have some
information inside the theater as well as an EV display outside.
We can arrive around 5:00 on Friday unless somebody can take the day off.
The manager let Mark Farver know that we would probably get the most traffic
Friday evening and Saturday.
So, unless anybody has any objections, the times will be:
Friday July 28 from 5p - 10p
Saturday July 29 from 11a - 10p
We need people who are interested in showing their cars. Please send me
final confirmation as to which of these days you can bring your vehicle and
what vehicle you will be bringing.
At this point, we are not sure what the charging situation looks like at the
theater itself. However, Christopher lives close by and Roy's office is
right across 360 so we should be able to take relatively short hops to
places where cars can get charged. Christopher and I noticed a plug in
front of the theater that I will ask about on Tuesday. If you want to bring
any vehicles the night before or leave them on Friday night, Christopher has
offered to let them stay in his driveway over night.
Thanks so much,
Aaron Choate
