[ausev] registering/licensing NEV

Dear Austin Electric Auto Association Members:

 

I have recently purchased a used GEM car (model e-4).  It is being
shipped to me from California.  It has not previously been licensed or
titled in California (presumably because only used as an off-road
vehicle.)

 

I would like to register, license, and insure this vehicle so that I may
drive it in Central Austin.  I am having a hard time finding information
about how to do this.  

 

Any information that you could provide would be most welcome.
