Folks,

Chris Searles just let me know we've got another Sustainable Shoppers'
Ball coming up, scheduled a little over a month from now, on December 9th.
I suspect this will go from morning until mid afternoon as before, though
(oddly) the website does not list formal startup and shutdown times for
the event as a whole.

Having now had the opportunity to check one of these out, I can firmly say
that this is something with which we should be involved if possible, if
for no other reason than the number of people present. There were easily a
couple thousand people last time, quite possibly much more. I don't know
what to expect with the colder weather, but hopefully there will still be
more than enough people there to justify the effort of bringing a few
cars.

It's a short Saturday morning event (not like the entire weekend being
blown), and there should be 240V and 120V charging available. Especially
if we can keep Austin Energy from screwing up their solar trailer setup
*again* by failing to point it into the sun. :o)

Anyway, folks in the group who have running EVs should seriously consider
making an effort to show at this event. We may even get a lane to
ourselves for short ride-and-drives or rolling demonstrations.

Details about the event are here:
