I've been thinking about the EV Mini from last week
(http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/country/ecf/newsID/2060724.006/mini/pml-builds-640hp-electric-mini) and was wondering if anyone has experience using wheel motors (http://www.pmlflightlink.com/motors/wheelmotors.html) similar to the ones that PML used to build the Mini prototype? PML did the conversion primarily as a promo for their wheel drive
motors.

This seems like a good implementation, but hard for a retro fit. It
seems like you'd have to remove even more of the existing components
(breaks, transmission, etc). On the plus side, you'd have more room in
the engine compartment for batteries and less weight.

I especially like their combination of motors and controllers that
includes ABS breaking and acceleration.
