Howdy..as the owner of a 1999 Ranger EV and a 1999 4 cyl. 5 speed gas Ranger
I can tell you there is a world of diference! Somehow with only 119 Hp I
have managed to tow the EV Ranger around town on a 16 foot trailer. I also
tow a 19 foot Airstream travel trailer which is mucho easier. Electric
brakes are another marvel I've discovered as well. Pretty tough for a little
truck but yes on hills...a little wimpy.
The Ranger EV is heavy and low to the ground so fish tailing seems to be
non-existent in my limited driving experience. The gas ranger is not too bad
with good tires and I'm always careful in rain after I had a little S-10
come out from under me back in "84...not pretty. Witt
