Hello Austin EV people,

I'm new on the list and to the area (San Antonio), but I was able to
make the meeting last Saturday. Mark mentioned a mass conversion idea
and I'd like to get in on that. I'm ready to start a conversion but
have no specific plans yet. I found a nice Porsche 914 that I was going
to pickup today but I'm having some last minute reservations. I was
going to buy the Electro Automotive kit which would make an easy and
practical first time conversion, but I think I'd rather get a different
vehicle. There are kits for Rabbits, S-10's, etc., but I think the idea
of a later model car is great. I saw conversions (on the web) for the
Civic, which looks pretty good, and a guy in Canada who did a new VW bug
that looks great. He said it's not the best conversion because of
weight, but very high "cool" factor for show and resale. Mark, you
mentioned the Mazda 3? Sounds good to me. If this is reasonably solid
as a goal, I'm willing to buy one and start the conversion. I'd be
happy to convert using general consensus components and methods to
provide the prototype for a "mass" (10 units?) conversion and to start
developing kit. I have the time right now and I'm chomping at the bit
to start something, so if the group can decide on the best vehicle for
resale potential, I can start right away.

Also, does anyone have the history from the EV trader to see what EV's
have sold for how much? Have previously sold vehicles been removed from
the site or is the trader fairly new and everything is still on there?
