Very cool pics!  Wish I could have been there.
Did the Ranger have 8V lead acids?
Witt, what are your plans for replacements?
Have you thought about 12V/55ah lead acids (fewer of course), but the same 
size and shape?  25 would still be good for a 45-50 mile range.
Panasonic still offers them for the Chevy Silverado Hybrid.  Around $175 
each I believe.
