Car's attending:
--------------------
Farver's MR2
Erik's Cabriolet
Roy's Geo
Aaron's Henney
Witt's Ranger
Tom's Tracker
Barr's Ghia (optional)
---------------------

I believe Tom, Roy and Mark Witt have secured transportation for their
vehicles. That leaves us with 3 or 4 vehicles to transport.

The cabriolet can probably be dolly towed (Erik?). The MR2 can be, but
should ideally be towed wheels up to save miles on the dying tranny.
The henney must be towed on a trailer.

Mark Witt's Ranger tow vehicle may be too small to tow the other Ranger
the longer distance, even equipped with trailer brakes. Mark?

We have Dan Petit's RV, and mine available as tow vehicles. Windsor
Park has trailers for $35/day, but does not reserve them so it will be
luck of the draw. If anyone knows of a tow dolly that we can borrow
please let me know, I sent mail to someone that loaned us one last
year. Uhaul has raised prices to about $50 a day for tow dollies.

So at the moment, we are short one tow vehicle. Does anyone have a
large truck that they would be willing to drive out there Friday morning
and back Sun night, or loan it for the weekend. Otherwise we have to
rent from Longhorn, for about $325, plus about $120 more for the trailer.

So right now I have it this way:
I will assume that we are taking 6 vehicles, and the three mentioned
above are already taken care of. That leaves the Henney, MR2 and
Cabriolet to transport. Dan Petit will pull a trailer with the Henney
or MR2, I will dolly tow the Cabriolet, and we will need to find or rent
another tow vehicle and trailer to pull the remaining trailer and
vehicle. Opinions?

If we can find two more tow vehicles we can take the Karmann Ghia,
giving us an impressive 7 vehicles at the show.

Someone might want to contact the Jim Seibert and the San Antonio group
and see if they would like to contribute any vehicles. The Roundup folks
left the number of vehicles opened ended, they said they could find
space. Any vehicles that cannot fit we will leave outside for Ride and
Drive events.

It would be best to have all of the vehicles loaded Thursday night for
early AM departures Friday. Running Austin AM traffic with a trailer is
less than fun, and it ends up cutting it close to arrive and get
situated before the event opens on Friday.

If you know ahead what days you will be attending, and if you are
willing to staff our booth please let me know.
