Welcome Jef!
I just got my car on the road and it's a whole lot of fun to drive around.
Haven't driven the gasser since Monday. For starters I'd spend some good
time websurfing, you'll find some really well documented conversions. There
are a couple of standard books, but I haven't read both. There's _Convert
It_ and _Build Your Own Electric Vehicle_. I think they're both about 10
years old, but the ideas haven't changed much. The EVADC website has a
pretty good primer:
http://www.evadc.org/build_an_ev.html
And the AustinEV site:

There may be an open garage this weekend, but I can't say for sure. Chris?
Mark? Keep us posted on what you're thinking about doing and feel free to
fire away with the questions.
