Oops, forgot to mention; the money comes from the dealerships, OEM's and Stake Holders of the Clean Cities program. The total pot is $20,000.00.

Subject: Re: [ausev] Why are converted vehicles excluded from this list?
I just completed a rather lengthy telephone conversation with Stacy Neef (stacy.neef at austinenergy.com) regarding these questions.
Briefly, the purpose of the program is to assist dealerships and manufactures in the sales of electric vehicles. The list came from the Austin area dealerships.
The NmG is not on the list because the rebate fund could not make an effective contribution relative to the NmG's cost.
Omission of Zen cars was an error and is being corrected.
Conversions are not on the list because they do not directly contribute to local dealerships or OEM sales.
If you email Stacy with your contact information she will give you a call. She is pretty much the "horse’s mouth" for this program and will discuss it quite openly.
I would suggest communicating with her before calling out the posse.
Regards,
Ken
