Hi folks,
I'm new to this list, though not completely to EVs.

I own a 1977 Sebring Citi-Car, aka Hummmer, which is unfortunately rotting in a field out near Manor. It needs a lot of work at this point, which I have come to realize I'm never going to do. If anyone out there would like to take on such a job, you can have the car for free.

It was running and fully functional about five years ago, but probably needed a new controller; the original, mechanical-relay, one was pretty rough, at best. But I never quite got around to fixing it up (long, sad story available on request), and after the barn it was being stored in got knocked down in a storm, it's taken a lot of weather-beating.

Still, I keep thinking that if anyone were really into such a restoration, it could once again be the cute little Citi-Car I remember it as. As far as I know, everything is original, and I have the original owners manual and wiring diagram, plus a book about the car and its manufacturer, "The Lost Cord."

Any takers? Or suggestions?

Nick Barbaro

  Hey guys,

Just a quick note on our favorite home town battery manufacturer. I didn't see it until now, but I thought you guys would be interested if you missed it like I did.

(may require registration.. but then again, it may not)

Cheers,
