There are all kinds of resources for EV building information, but
perhaps the best way to get advice on a list like this one is to discuss
what you'd like to build, what you want to get out of it, and we can
tell you if there are certain aspects that will or won't work.

What kind of EV do you plan to build? What kind of budget do you have?
What daily driving range do you need?

Also, if you're in the Seattle area (judging from your email address),
you might want to get involved with the local EAA chapter there,
http://www.seattleeva.org .  There's also the international "EV
Discussion List", it's very high-traffic, but if you're interested you
can find information on joining at http://evdl.org
