I found the ideal conversion vehicle. It matches my exacting criteria for weight-carrying ability, aerodynamics and low curb weight. Oh yeah, did I mention I got it for $200. A '95 four door Metro which is not completely ragged-out is going to eventually be my basic battery-propulsion vehicle back and forth to work transportation. My wife is thinking I've somehow lost my mind. Hmmm. 
     I once, back in the 70s, shoe-horned a 289 V-8 into a Ford Pinto chassis and drove it on the street for about two years. I'm looking forward to the unforseen challanges which may present themselves as I go ahead with this project. Wish me luck in my quest. It's calculated maddness!
