Hello,

I am starting an EV project in Buda. I will be converting a '89 Isuzu
pickup.

My question is, should I go with an -
Interstate #U8VGC, 8V, 65lbs, AH Cap 170, & Reserve 75A = 90?, Cost
= ?
or
Interstate #U8VGCHC 8V, 69lbs, AH Cap 183, & Reserve 75A = 95, Cost =
$79.95

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you,

At the risk of shouting out the obvious...

It may not be timely for your purchase Claire, and it may not even be
necessary given that you've already gotten a good deal, but it might be
worth it for list members in general to consider the possibility of
putting together group purchases of batteries.

Those interested in buying batteries now and in the future could just
announce here as Claire has done, and we can see if there's anyone else
who can add some batteries to the order. Even if they aren't all of the
same type, it might allow us to bargain for a better price. Just
thinking out loud here but perhaps AustinEV could help broker the deal
financially as well, so one person doesn't have to buy 2 or 3 cars'
worth of batteries and wait to be reimbursed.

I can think of at least one other car that will need some batteries
soon :-)
