I'm curious to know where you found the 8VGCHC batteries.  Is that
price from the Interstate dealer that you quoted in your email?  I was
having trouble finding them locally myself.  $72.95 was the price I
saw for the regular 8VGC.

You're sacrificing +6.2% battery weight to gain +7.6% more charge
capacity at a cost of +9.6% battery price to your wallet.  In my mind,
it seems like a winning combination.  Even though you are gaining
+6.2% battery weight, that is a much smaller percentage of car weight.

In my case, with 18 batteries in a 2326lb curb weight Saturn... It
takes the post-conversion weight of my vehicle from 2687lbs to
2768lbs, a gain of less than 100lbs, or +3.0% to total car weight.  So
I'm still under the GVWR, and my weight to battery ratio climbs from
2.23 to 2.31.

Since this is theoretical, I can not say how it would effect my range,
but it would seem to give me some better range with no extra space
needed and a total money cost of only $126.  (18 x ($79.95 - $72.95))


What else can you buy for $126 to improve your range?
