[ausev] Question about Manual Transaxle Install

Hello,
 I'm looking to convert my 92 Mazda Protege, but it
has an automatic transmission. Could the car be
"easily" installed with a manual transaxle? Or should
I be looking for another donor? Also what's the
life-expectancy of a used transaxle? Should I be
looking to replace that part anyways?
