They're actually modified Warfield motors, hence the "War" in the "WarP"
brand name. The exception is the ImPulse 8, which is an AMD (ADC) motor
with no meaningful modifications except a slightly lower wholesale
price.
The numbers Netgain quoted me were 190 amps continuous, and a typical
maximum voltage of 156V (some folks have run them higher than spec, and
obviously your pack voltage can be higher than this with a controller
that limits output voltage). This would give 29.6kW or just about 40HP
continuous at the shaft, minus heating, windage and magnetic losses.
Very soon they will start fitting larger, lighter fans on all their
motors, which will increase airflow and slightly decrease efficiency.
The result will be higher continuous horsepower.
I still have some questions for them which I'll try to get answered
soon. I'd really like to see a real torque curve to be sure of each
model's output, but Netgain has traditionally been pretty sparse on this
kind of data about their 11 and 13-inch motors simply because they don't
have a dyno large enough to fully test them. Reality may be different
from the above estimate.
