On the flip side of this view, you could optimistically
assume that lighter batteries are in the cards for the very
near future. With a small car, install a temporary pack of
limited cost/size/weight that can get you over a , say 2
year, hump. Then "updgrade". In addition to that - most
small cars can handle a class I tow hitch. The idea is to
mount as many batteries as you want on a small trailer until
higher capacity batteries become affordable. (Its corny , I
know, I've done it - but it works OK).
Speaking of this subject: Does anyone know from other
sources outside the group if anyone as EVER sucessfully , or
even attempted, a conversion of Toyota MR2 SPYDER??
