Hi Nick,

This list has its ups and downs; it's not unusual for a couple days to
pass without any messages from time to time.

Heavy, full-size vehicles are not very common because they're less
efficient to drive and more expensive to convert, requiring more powerful
components and a substantially larger battery pack to get acceptable
performance and range. Shooting for 50 miles as an absolute maximum (35-40
on a daily basis), I would plan for somewhere around $15k for this
conversion. You may do better than this, but if so it may be because of
sacrifices you've chosen to make in acceleration and/or range.

I'd be curious to see the numbers you've been seeing that have given you
your $6-10k estimate. (This is more the domain of compact
moderate-performance conversions.) There are unfortunately some vendors
out there who vastly overpromise on performance from [sometimes
dangerously] underpowered conversion kits and components. Then again there
may be certain parts, fabrication steps, etc that you haven't taken into
consideration.
