Jack,

While true, I feel like some of your concerns are akin to telling the 
Wright brothers that they aren't successful because they don't have 
VTOL.

I'm not under the illusion that my EV project will reduce my CO2 
footprint in a meaningful way.  I also don't expect to see any 
financial ROI from it.  I'm doing it because it is a first step in my 
learning and a statement that people can be doing something.  This 
resonates with everyone I've talked to about it - we feel powerless to 
change the status quo.  I look at my EV as shouting into the wind: 
that's why I doubly like my project name (RAVolt!)
