Hi all,

On the Stuff for Sale page on the AustinEV website, there is a car, a
tractor, and a motor for sale. This is an estate sale in Lincoln, NE
and he needs the stuff picked up in a couple weeks. This is relavant
to a list in Austin because...

-The motor shown is in unknown condition, but already has what appears
to be a VW transmission bellhousing and input shaft adapter. The hole
spacing and shape are exactly what I remember mine to be, and one of
the pictures shows what looks like my flywheel and pressure plate,
except really rusty.

-He's asking a starting bid of $75 for it

-My dad is bidding on the tractor (so please don't kill his electric
tractor dream!), and if he wins might be able to pick up the motor at
the same time. He does live in Wisconsin, but we might be able to
figure out shipping or maybe you know someone who enjoys the drive to
Wisconsin.

There is also a car worth of parts for sale, don't know about the
car's condition.

I have pictures of the motor, but not the car.

I have found out a finalized date of when the items have to be removed
from the property.
I know it would be easier to have these items on ebay but because of
several circumstances that is not possible.
To be as fair as possible to all people here is the law.

All offers have to be emailed in no later than Thursday, January 4, at
12:00 Noon CST.
I will check my email at that time and whoever has the highest offer will
get that item (remember items have a minimum starting bid).
I will not update you as to what the current highest bid is before the
closing date.
I will try and email everyone before 5:00 PM CST that day
to tell them if they had the highest bid or not.
All items have to be picked up.

Anybody with a winning offer has to be at the house to
pickup the items no later than January 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM CST,
and leave the property no later than 4:30 PM CST.

People can pickup stuff any time between Saturday 6:00 PM to Friday 2:00 PM.
Times and days that it can NOT be picked up is Friday 2:00 PM to
Saturday 6:00 PM.

Time Zone is Central Standard Time.
The location of these items is in Lincoln NE 68510.

Payments will be in the form of a check made out to the estate.

All items have to be picked up. You can pick them up yourself or have
some one else do it.

Nobody is at the house so do NOT show up unless I have set up a time and
date with you.
I do not have a cell phone here.
Email is the "easiest" way to reach me.
I will try to check my email often but there is a possibility
I may not be able to check it on the weekends and/or holidays.

Car-
Minimum offer starts at $800.
Car and charger are sold as is.
Figure on 1 1/2 hours to pickup car and charger.
There are a couple of new tires and a couple of used tires that will
be included with the car if they are the same size.
All the batteries are most likely bad, so I may get rid of them
before the car is picked up. The car would be lighter then.
Car weights about 3,000 to 4,000 pounds.
The external battery charger looks pretty bad but probably works.
I rode in the car in the early 2000's, so it still should work if
all the batteries are replaced.

Tractor-
Minimum offer starts at $300.
Tractor, mower and snowblower are sold as is.
Figure on 1 1/2 hours to pickup tractor, mower and snowblower.
Tractor works.
Batteries are very poor.
Mower deck works but 2 of the motors have been "frozen"
in the past and I had to move the 2 blades by hand to loosen
them up. They appeared to work afterwards.
Snowblower working condition is unknown.

Motor is sold as is.
Figure on 20 minutes to pickup motor.
The motor will have to be picked up.
The motor possibly weights 140 pounds and
the 2 round items together possibly weight 25 pounds.
I don't know if the motor works or not.
I will see if it can be tested.
