You may already know this, but be aware that this product line is a
horse of a different color. These are evaporative coolers, or "swamp
coolers" which are an enclosure-contained version of the patio mist
idea. A true air conditioner and an icewater contraption both reduce
humidity as they cool. A swamp cooler instead increases humidity. They
can cool the air substantially, but work best when it's dry. At the same
time, they'll also reduce the cooling effectiveness of your own
perspiration to some degree.

Now *there* you go!  That's more like it. If you want to experiment with
the icewater idea, here's a price that's actually fair.
