Roy, I talked on the pnone with an electric motor dealer the other day to inquire about hi-voltage DC motors. I was trying to find perhaps a local dealer. I informed him about the pricing I'd seen on the internet. He told me that prices in the $900 to $1500 are very good for the motors that "wind up" (pardon the pun) in EVs. Given the RPM and voltage range we need, the prices can't be beat. Most EV suppliers stand behind their products with 2 yr. warranties as well.

I just got off the phone with the repair company and they said it looked
like somehting got sucked into the motor, long list of damage.

Ive found 2 sources at just over $1300, at Battety powered systems and
Electric vehicles USA.

anybody had dealings with them or know a better source?
