AustinEV,

I never had a big enough window to call an open garage, but I still
managed to make progress this weekend. Thanks to Erik and the cut
mounting plate, I was able to drill out the remaining 3 holes. Then
Alex and I were able to stack and bolt all the components together.
I've got the motor and transmission joined and ready to go back into
the RAV. I made a video to show the steps:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-LyQdbYeeY (yes, tagged with AustinEV).

Questions:
Should I test the motor before I put it in? Is a jumper to regular 12
volt battery enough to give it a little spin?

Next, I'm working to line up a local hoist for the drop in. I'll let
everyone know when the unit is going back into the RAV.

PS: I've also been getting more data about battery options (all
flooded, but different voltages & numbers). I'm posting that info on
my blog.
