   I was told by ONE car rental place that they had at least
ONE for rent.  It was rented at the time, so I had to resort to a
small... something.  This was a couple of years ago, so I don't remember
for sure which company, but I am sure it was AT THE AIRPORT. 
I think it was Hertz.  I called almost every rental place in Austin
at the time.  I spoke with more than one person who didn't know what
I was talking about....

   Maybe next time I'll ask if they have an Insight!

I want to rent a TOYOTA Prius for the trip to TOYOTA , so to no avail,

called every car rental place in the book ( ~ 150 listed ) and got
a very

cold response from most, saying "oH NO, the banks won't those weird
POSs

for us,... call someone else."   I was stunned by more than
one negative

response to my request to rent a Toyota Prius from these uninformed
people

at the rental lots.

Does anyone know where I can rent a TOYOTA PRIUS in or near Austin ??

There's $50 in it for the right referal by this Saturday the 10th of
March.
