At least on the "design" issue, I think you may have gotten the wrong
impression.
>From what I recall, they were congratulating the guy on his custom
modifications to the base look of the vehicle. It was more of a "pimp my
ride" kind of unveiling as far as I felt. The types of thing that guy
usually works on in California are things like the "custom" black and red
color scheme, the "custom" leather upholstery, the "custom" turn light
covers, the improved stereo install, the funky cell phone hookup, and the
"custom" plate under the hood with the motor controller manufacturer's name
water jetted out of it. That kind of stuff. That guy was not the "car
designer". He was a car customizer from what I could tell.
