I've been reading up on automotive painting, and it looks like something 
I might be able to do for the MR2.  A repaint would give me a chance to 
make some of the minor body changes I've always wanted to (eliminate the 
air scoop, close off the engine lid vents, etc) as well as really clean 
up the look of the car.

It would be nice to practice on something a little less important.  Does 
anyone have an old hood or other body panel lying around?  I can get one 
from a junkyard, but I'd rather not pay for it. Something dented or 
damaged is fine.  (Or does someone have a friend at a body shop or 
junkyard who would be willing to lend me scrap parts?)

After that I might scale up to a non-critical full car, so if someone 
wants to give a new coat of paint to an older beater let me know.
