Data is mixed, the scientific explanation of why they work has never 
been established, so all of the information is anecdotal or from 
manufacturer sponsored tests.  Lots of off-grid folks swear by the 
units.  However, they are generally running only a few batteries 24 or 
48v worth.  At about $30 each for the desulfators, an EV would require a 
lot more of them, and it is doubtful they would pay for themselves.
