Nick,
I agree what the reporting is obviously biased and the list of
errors/omissions is so long that it is not worth the energy to compile.
However, I agree with their conclusion that there is more to green
driving than MPG.
It's been widely stated on this listserv and in mainstream media that
the break-even on hybrid is longer than the typical American will own
their car. I believe that consumers buy a Prius to buy a "green" car
and "do their part." Even if the other alternatives are equally
"green" they are considered "economy" cars and not as attractive.
This is the exact realization that lead me to start the RAVolt instead
of buying a new hybrid.
