[ausev] Electric is good, but ...

I was thinking of using electric motors powerful
enough to drive the car.  I saw a photo of an EV
converted from IC and there was plenty of room under
the hood for my idea. By using modern alloys the steam
engine can be lighter than an IC engine and its myriad
of moving parts. When I mentioned converting an IC
hybrid I also meant one of those able to go short
distances on electric power. Since the steam engine
would not be used for propulsion it could also be
lighter and smaller. Of course it would have to be
designed to work as a system and not just as an added
piece to an existing EV. The idea is to get the speed
and range of IC cars and use a portable recharger to
avoid recharge waits.
