Claire,

As long as the plug/receptacle is rated for at least 240 volts (single
phase) and 30 amps, you're fine.  I use an L6-30, as shown on this page
(that I already sent you): http://www.twacomm.com/catalog/dept_id_963.htm
Our Ranger's on-board charger never exceeds 24 amps.

They have this receptacle style at work, so that is what I installed at
home.  You can rig an adapter for anything else you need.  Darell Dickey has
a page describing all the adapters he carries for opportunity charging.  He
used to drive a Ranger, btw.  ;-)

If there is a charger style you're interested in switching to, I can help
you with that.
