Thanks Ian, It will be nice to have another REV there on Saturday. The
Escort will be there also - it only needs a regular 110v.  There are pros
and cons to them all.

Claire,

I don't think that there would be a major design difference between the
Avcon PowerPak and the original EVI DS-50.  My DS-50 only requires two hot
lines and a ground.  A diagram in the manual explicitly shows the neutral is
not used.  It is likely that the "requirement" for a neutral line is to
ensure compliance with one of the codes established by one of the standards
bodies (NEC, SAE, UL). 

In any case, I'll be bringing my PCS if you need it.  Does anyone know what
kind of receptacle they have there?  I don't have a grab-bag of adapters,
yet.  ;-)
