[ausev] HELP!

I know this isn’t for a car, but it is for an electric vehicle.  I would post this on the electric motorcycle forum, but my questions on that list about building a electric scooter garnered no support, and one kind of nasty e-mail.   

 

So,

 

Here’s my deal.   I have an old cheap Chinese electric scooter.  I like it, but it has problems with the controller.  I bought a new one put the throttle connector on the new controller is fe-male as it is corresponding connector on the scooter.  DO NOT want to splice the old connector incase the controller doesn’t work as advertised.  Anyone any ideas as to what I should do?
