Hello,
I was told by KTA Services that the 1231C-7701 would provide better off
the line response due to it's 550A cap. (+10%) vs. the 1231C-8601 and
therefore wanted to use the 7701.
I intend to install the controller on a piece of heat sink and to cool
the controller via a fan/duct.
Did you have a similar design/setup with your failed unit? Do you know
of anyone else with a similar experience?
Thanks for the note!
Scott

If you do get a curtis controller, go with the 144v controller.
I just replaced a 120 with a 144 and I like the 144 MUCH better.
I think you would be pushing the 120 past its limits and it will
overheat.
the 144 did not overheat this summer like the 120 did in the past.
