[ausev] Electric Scooters?

Although I love my Ego, it's slow and I've never pushed it beyond 20
miles between charges. One of our friends drives an EVT and loves it
(just don't get the battery charger wet). If you'd like to talk with
her about it, I'll give you her email addy off list and I think Alien
Scooters will also let you test drive theirs and can order you one (I
don't think they keep any in store). Her scooter also qualified for
the city of austin electric vehicle rebate (not much, but she was
issued check rebate #00001 and signed by Toby Futrell herself) I know
there are other scooter users on the list; what I like about both the
Ego and the EVT is that sorta-vespa look.
