As a compromise, EVT is now producing a modern-looking 45mph 60V scooter
called the Z20, and the R20 which is a variant with more classic styling
but functionally the same. These are larger and faster than their
previous scooters, and are vastly cheaper than the Vectrix at $2500 plus
shipping and optional equipment. Not quite as fast though.  :-)

A friend of mine pre-ordered an R20 from http://evtamerica.com and
hopefully will be getting it soon. I'll have to get him to bring it to a
meeting.
