I finally broke down and built a gantry crane and am selling my old tried 
and true 1 ton folding engine hoist.  I have had it about five years, it 
looks a little rough but it works well.  It will comfortably lift a car 
engine/transmission combo, and I have used it to load and unload a 1600 
pound mill from a trailer, though it made me a little nervous.  It folds 
up so it does not take a lot of room, easy to carry in a small pickup 
or old wagon, and will easily lift an ev motor.   $50 and I can deliver in
