[ausev] Motor question, prepurchase advice

I would not worry about the rust on the shaft. They will rust sitting on
the shelf, and throw in some battery funes, and you see where it is going.
The big thing with electric motors is how old is it (the winding
insulation eventually breaks down), do the bearings feel good, and does
it smell burned.
I would be a little leery about buying a car sight unseen. I think that
it would be worth a trip to see it in person and make sure the the basic
car is sound and that the conversion looks clean.
