If indeed it is a person.  It might not even be human.  The entity in  
charge could be a committee, or perhaps some tight-knit organization  
we might call a consortium or a cabal or a junta if we could but see it.

Whatever entity had the power to influence all the car manufacturers  
-- not just the US manufacturers but Honda and Toyota as well -- to  
drop their huge electric car programs all within a few months of the  
same time, -- an entity that powerful probably doesn't report to any  
one car manufacturer.  It might not need to report to any of the  
management of any of the car manufacturers.  It probably doesn't  
report to any elected official, nor would it likely have to answer  
questions from the press.  Judging by the tiny dribble of information  
coming from it, it could be an organization with a system for  
guarding its secrets that is even more effective than the US  
Military's.  You and I can't even see it.

Yes, we should definitely direct our anger toward it, but what is it?
