I assume this device takes water and something else and makes
hydrogen gas. In past theory, the "something else" would be more
expensive than gasoline, per mile driven. Of course, that very much
depends on the price of gas. You are evidently re-examining this
trade-off.
Direct injection of hydrogen gas (from a cylinder) into the intake
manifold is an old power-boosting trick used in racing. I would
assume it could be tailored to conserve gas, but -- supposedly -- the
hydrogen would be more expensive than the gasoline saved thereby.
Supposedly.
Running an internal combustion engine off pure hydrogen is practical
and gives low emissions. You still get a little NOx from atmospheric
nitrogen, but the sulfur and CO2 are gone, and the unburned fuel
isn't near so noxious. Again, though, compared to gasoline per mile
driven, it's supposed to be expensive. Or was.
What has been your experience, Marv? Is there an hho technology near
close to beating gas, dollar-wise?
