RE Battery Locations.  I highly recommend making a cardboard replica.
Include the battery posts!  It made a HUGE different when I was trying to
figure out where to hide the lead in the RAVolt.  If you're thinking
floodies, then they must sit upright and have access for watering.
 
Also - consider the steel that you'll need to add to support the batteries
and look for places to hang it.
