This is a most excellent idea. I can not yet volunteer... since with
a baby on the way, I do not want to volunteer for anything that I may
not be able to carry through. But I may be able to volunteer come the
end of summer.

When my car is finished, I was planning on approaching my manager at
where I work and the senior site executive to make a formal request
for general electric car charging locations.

On the plus side, I would not need cord covers... since the plugs on
the building are too far from the parking lot to be useful. On the
down side, that means that I would need the company to install plugs
in the parking lot. Installing plugs in the parking lot should not be
too difficult though, since there are 40ft tall 240V light posts
scattered throughout the lot. It also puts the electric cars right
next to the plugs, and provides a space to hang an "electric car
parking only" sign. :-)
